The piece "Cloudy Sky" from our debut album has been nominated for "Best Arrangement" at the Golden Melody Awards for Traditional Arts and Music ( Taiwan’s Grammy)! We have performed this Taiwanese folk song all around the world, and we are thrilled that the arrangement is appreciated by the judges! “Graceful movements and light touches” - Klassisk Denmark ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Twincussion and the DR Symphony Orchestra's performance of Li-Ying Wu's new percussion concerto challenged all prejudices in the ground. I expected a work that was both overly ambitious, clumsy and symbol-laden but Wu's concerto is neither. It is a delicious and exquisite piece of music which is full of fascinating and highly functional musical contexts, original sounds, disciplined in format, imbued with humor as well as depth and brilliant to witness. Watching identical twins play a concert where the soloists often mirror each other was captivating. We got the exact opposite of the stereotype of a percussionist running around furiously hitting everything within reach. The twins played with the graceful movements of the martial arts and with the light touch of the pianist. Last night was a magical experience for us, and it was such a pleasure to perform at one of the most important stage and the orchestra in Denmark and Europe. It was a grand adventure and we couldn’t made it without fantastic team: @dknationalsymph DR Symfoniorkestret, @composerliyingwu , @alondradlp, @nadia_ratsimandresy and all of you! Thank you so much! We are thrilled to announce that we will have our debut performance with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, world premiering the double concerto ”Flamboyer” for two percussionists by composer Li-Ying Wu (TW/DK), on May 11 at the DR Concert Hall, Copenhagen. The conductor is the star Alondra De La Parra. To play with DRSO is one of our dreams as musicians. Thank you all for making this dream come true.
