Twincussion is an internationally acclaimed percussion duo redefining contemporary performance through a bold dialogue between East and West. Formed by twin brothers Jen-Ting and Jen-Yu Chien, the duo blends virtuosic precision, theatrical presence, and cross-cultural imagination—seamlessly weaving Taiwanese folk traditions into Western classical repertoire and contemporary innovation.

Their performances have been presented at major venues including Carnegie Hall and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. In the 2025/26 season, Twincussion joins the distinguished roster of Washington Performing Arts, appearing in a season alongside internationally renowned artists such as Yo-Yo Ma and Midori. They were also recently featured by the Asia Society, where their performance was met with critical acclaim for its cultural depth and technical brilliance.

In 2023, Twincussion was selected for the U.S. Department of State’s Center Stage program (Season 6). This year included their Kennedy Center debut and the world premiere of Flamboyer, a double concerto by Li-Ying Wu, performed with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra. Their artistry has been further recognized with First Prize at the International Percussion Competition in Italy and Best Arrangement at Taiwan’s Golden Music Awards.

Their versatile touring programs range from immersive full-length recital productions to community engagement formats, making their work highly adaptable to orchestral collaborations, recital series, and educational residencies.

Both artists hold the Advanced Postgraduate Diploma—the highest soloist distinction awarded by the Royal Danish Academy of Music. Supported internationally by Yamaha and Innovative Percussion, Twincussion continues to expand the global language of percussion with their signature "twin synergy" and a deeply rooted cultural voice.
